The Little Match Girl (2006)
This electrosymphonic arrangement of the famous tragic H. C. Andersen tale in three movements, with a unique approach to the little matchseller's story, features an impressive and dramatic combination of orchestral and synthesizer sounds.
The new album is finished, and the cover is being designed by the
excellent computer-graphics artist Visage. More information to come soon, after the live piano show in June; stay tuned!
The Paradise Trilogy (2003)
This is a synth based composition in three parts with very rich and majestic orchestration.
Part 1: Exile
Because of their sinful lifestyle, an ancient nation is banished by God from the land of plenty to live a nomadic life in a desert.

Part 2: The Rise of the Righteous
After seven generations the people start to pray for the return to their old home, which is now a half-forgotten legend known as the Paradise Land. A humble shepherd, who was most zealous in his prayers, hears the voice of God in his dreams, telling him it's time to lead the people home and showing him the way.
MP3 demo excerpt
Part 3: Return to Paradise
The young shepherd from part two is now an aged prophet who leads his people back to Paradise.
The Legend of the River Man (2002)
The great Slovenian poet France Preseren wrote a ballad based on a legend about a beautiful but exceptionally vain girl, Ursula, who carelessly breaks hearts of countless suitors until she "meets her match": The River Man, a supernatural being that lives under the water but has the appearance of a handsome young man, takes her for a dance which ends with both of them disappearing forever in a whirlpool amidst a dramatic accompaniment of tempest and thunder.
This composition follows the poem faithfully until the very end - but it also tells of the story afterwards. For here, Ursula does not meet her untimely demise in the river, but follows her supernatural suitor into his underwater castle. Sad at first to leave the old life behind, but soon overcome by true admiration of the River Man, they live, happily ever after of course, in his underwater kingdom.
The River Man Overture MP3
A touch for synth connosieurs: The River Man's voice is represented by an analog synth throughout the digital workstations-based composition; but the ending is performed only with analog gear, even Ursula's oboe theme, for here the real world is digital while the fairy world is analog.
The composition is a succession of different styles: Symphonic overture and Ursula's appearance followed by a techno part (for, to add a modern touch to this classic, Ursula and River Man leave the high-class dinner and dance at a rave party!), progressive instrumental rock of the elements display and the final dance and dive into the river, and ending in retro new-age style describing the underwater world.
Prelude, Intermezzo and Fugue for Synths and Mini-Theremin (2001)
Written in my favorite style, namely mixed classical and modern (from rock/jazz to baroque counterpoint) and featuring, apart from the synths of the latest digital era, the first electronic instrument in history - the Theremin.
MP3 demo excerpt from the Fugue
Note: The Theremin can also be heard in the song Invisible Forest Creatures, available from the MP3 section.

In Search of the Harmony Horizon
These are the collected works of the years 1997-99. Besides the four independent compositions there is the most important project of that time, the Synth Suite "In Search of the Harmony Horizon". Its five movements span five different musical styles, from the half-heard opening strains of the Overture to the awesome power of the Finale, but with a common thread - the recurring melody phrase that appears sometimes as the lead, sometimes in the background.

- older, less impressive version of cover design, but same music.

Endless Moment
These songs were written and performed in the years 1994-1996 with my first synth, the Roland E-36 (and no, absolutely no auto-accompaniments and similar cheats used). The main work is the synth Sonata "Endless Moment" with traditional sonata form in the first movement and allegro - andante - rondo:allegro movements, though the music style moves between New Age and instrumental rock. Other compositions from this period are: Prelude & 4-voiced Fugues in e minor, the long romantic piano-driven Nocturno, a weird combination of atonal and Irish music Morrigan and, from sentimental reasons, the first E-36 composition Cube One. They were preserved on audio cassette only and later restored to CD, so forgive the bad quality of audio samples. A Roland GS-format compatible soundcard or synth is needed to play the MIDI files, such as Roland SoundCanvas or SoundBlaster AWE.
